Pretty much since December 1st, I haven’t really been acting like the writer that I tell people I am. I’ve barely written a few words, and those were basically me typing up all those short stories that I wrote in September and October. I’ve taken a break from reading, even though I have a library book due soonish? (I should probably figure out when). And I haven’t edited anything lately either.
I did have my amazing husband read my latest novel. I probably should have edited some of the plot holes out of it first, but he did give me a lot of good feedback, and I’ll probably get back to it either in January or February. (That will depend on if my beta readers get their comments back to me on the assigned date that I gave them.)
So, the other day, I decided that I need to get back to my bullet journal (which I’ve also neglected). It was a good way of keeping myself on track, and I just gave it up. Well, I’ve got my entire 2017 written up and ready to go. Now I just have to fill in the spaces as I accomplish things.
The main goal of 2017 is to get published. Either a short story or ideally my novel. But at this point I’m not going to be too particular. I’m also supposed to be blogging four times a week, twice here and twice on my other blog. Feel free and check that one out too. I’d also like to get a few paid writing gigs, but I forgot to add that to the list, and it’s already printed off. I’ll keep you posted on that one too though.
What are you planning on doing next year? I hope you get everything done that you want to accomplish.
